Who is behind the Ferme du Parc?

Who was Vincent Vandevelde?

Vincent Vandevelde came from a long line of farmers: son, grandson and great-grandson of farmers.

After studying marketing, he began his career in the insurance sector, before gradually returning to his deep passion: the land and agriculture.

Why had he taken over the farm?

In 2007, Vincent made the choice to leave his salaried job to take over the family farm.

After several years of combining office work and evening training, he is now fully dedicated to his agricultural project.

His goal was clear: to develop a vibrant, modern and diversified farm, while respecting its history.

What has been the evolution of the operation?

Vincent is gradually redirecting the farm's activities:

  • Cattle farming gives way to an activity centered on horses
  • The old stables are being converted into barns.
  • the farm is developing a horse boarding facility

It also marks the beginning of a project that was particularly close to his heart:
🐎 Al Manzah Arabians breeding farm , notably with the arrival of its first purebred Arabian mare, Nejma El Raitz.

What is Marie-Julie's role on the farm?

Marie-Julie, his wife, met him in 2004 during their marketing studies in Namur.

After a career in the banking sector, where she worked for more than 10 years as a customer advisor for individuals and the self-employed, she gradually became involved in farm life.

A family story that continues

On July 3, 2024, Vincent died following a heart attack.

Since then, Marie-Julie has continued the management and development of the Ferme du Parc on her own, with the support of a team that she is gradually building, step by step.

His goal is to keep the family project alive, respecting the history of the farm while developing its agricultural, equestrian and tourism activities.

A family adventure

Vincent and Marie-Julie have two children.

La Ferme du Parc remains first and foremost a family story, a story of transmission and continuity, deeply rooted in the land and in time.
